1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Academic Paper Generator service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

data4u.uk provides Lily, an AI-powered study assistant designed to help students learn and improve their academic skills. The Service offers guidance, explanations, and feedback to support your educational journey. Lily is intended to be used as a learning tool that helps you understand research processes and develop writing skills, not as a substitute for your own work or academic integrity.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Payments

Some parts of the Service are offered on a subscription basis. You will be billed in advance on a recurring basis, depending on the type of subscription plan you select.

We reserve the right to change subscription fees upon reasonable notice. Such notice may be provided at any time by posting the changes to the Service website or via email.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of data4u.uk and its licensors.

Output generated by our Service is provided to assist you in your academic or research work. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of such output complies with applicable academic integrity policies, copyright laws, and citation requirements.

6. User Content

Our Service allows you to input content for processing. You retain all rights to your input content. By providing input content to our Service, you grant us a license to use, modify, and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

7. Data Retention and Backups

We maintain backups of your papers and documents for a period of 90 days from the date of creation or modification. These backups are intended to protect against data loss in the event of system failures or accidental deletions.

While we make reasonable efforts to preserve your data, these backups are provided on a best-effort basis, and we cannot guarantee successful recovery in all cases. After the 90-day retention period, documents may be permanently deleted from our backup systems and cannot be recovered.

If you need to recover a document that has been deleted, please contact our support team within 90 days of the deletion. Recovery attempts after this period cannot be fulfilled.

For critical documents, we recommend maintaining your own personal backups in addition to relying on our backup systems.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall data4u.uk, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

9. Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

data4u.uk does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that the results obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.

10. Academic Integrity

You agree to use the Service in compliance with your institution's academic integrity policies. Lily is designed to support your learning process by providing guidance, explanations, and feedback that helps you develop your own academic skills. The Service is intended to enhance your understanding and abilities, not to replace your own work or enable academic dishonesty.

When using Lily's guidance in your academic work, you are responsible for developing your own ideas, conducting your own research, and properly citing all sources in accordance with applicable citation standards. The educational content provided by Lily should be used as a learning tool to help you improve your own work, not as content to be submitted directly.
